Events & Celebrations
A private address for London's most considered events.

The Rooms
From the boardroom to the ballroom, on a single private floor.
The Cromwell Boardroom
A 12-seat boardroom lined with original panelling and portraits from the townhouse's Regency period. Built for confidential working sessions, with concealed cabling and an adjoining private dining annexe for 18.
The Whitelands Ballroom
Our largest room — 220 standing, 180 seated — with a marble fireplace, gilt mirrors, and a sprung floor used twice a year for embassy receptions. Civil-ceremony licensed and fully accessible.
The Model
One director, from enquiry to close-of-event.
Every booking is owned by a single dedicated event director — drawn from our team of fourteen — who writes your run-of-show, walks the floor plan with you, briefs the kitchen, and is present on the day. There are no call centres, no hand-offs between sales and operations, and no shared inboxes.
The same team includes our embassy protocol lead, who has coordinated arrival sequences, security liaison, and press embargo windows for seventeen sovereign embassies and the London offices of 84 FTSE 100 companies. If your guest list includes a head of state, a regulator, or a quoted journalist, we have done it before.
Directors respond to written enquiries within 38 minutes during business hours, and every proposal arrives as a single PDF with room layout, menu, and timeline — not a thread of forwarded emails.

For planners
The questions to answer before a site visit.
- What capacity can the venue hold end-to-end?
- The largest room, the Whitelands Ballroom, seats 180 for dinner and holds 220 standing. Our smallest boardroom, Cromwell, seats 12. Across all eight rooms we can run concurrent sessions for up to 340 guests on a single private floor.
- Are you licensed for civil ceremonies?
- Yes. Hyde Park Rooms is one of fewer than thirty Westminster-licensed townhouse venues. Civil ceremonies can be hosted in the Whitelands Ballroom (up to 90 guests) and the Pembridge Suite (up to 50).
- Where is the catering sourced?
- All produce is sourced within 60 miles of London and prepared by our six in-house executive chefs, who hold two Michelin Bib Gourmand awards (2022, 2024) for our private dining menu. Menus are fully bespoke; dietary and faith requirements are planned in at proposal stage.
- Can we take exclusive use of the townhouse?
- Yes. The full floor — all eight rooms plus the courtyard and entrance on Bayswater Road — is available for exclusive hire from £X per session, with reduced rates for weekday and off-season bookings. Talk to your event director about a tailored proposal.
- Is the venue accessible?
- Both floors are step-free from street level, with a passenger lift serving all eight rooms. Two accessible WCs are located on the principal floor. We hold an AccessAble accessibility guide — request it with your director.
