A collection of eight distinct rooms — from the twelve-seat Cromwell Boardroom to the two-hundred-and-twenty-guest Whitelands Ballroom — set on a single private floor of a Grade II-listed Bayswater townhouse, four minutes' walk from Hyde Park Corner.
The Collection
Each room is named after the streets, gardens and figures that shaped this corner of Bayswater. Together they form a single private floor, with one dedicated event director assigned from enquiry to departure.
Board meetings · Strategy offsites
A wood-panelled boardroom for twelve, with original 1894 joinery, a single hand-knotted rug, and a north-facing sash window that floods the table with morning light. Designed for the kind of meeting where decisions matter.
Galas · Launches · Awards nights
Our largest room, accommodating up to two hundred and twenty guests for a seated dinner or three hundred and fifty for a standing reception. Crystal chandeliers, a sprung maple floor, and a private anteroom for green-room use.
Private dining · Intimate launches
A book-lined private dining room for twenty-eight, with a working fireplace and a six-metre oak refectory table. Our executive chefs serve a tasting menu paired with cellar selections from our 1,400-bin list.
Conferences · AGM · All-hands
A flexible mid-sized suite seating one hundred and twenty theatre-style or seventy cabaret, with built-in 4K projection, Dante audio, and a raised stage that can be concealed under the sprung floor when not in use.
Receptions · Press launches
A double-height reception room with a marble chimneypiece, used for standing receptions of up to one hundred and forty. The room opens directly onto our south-facing garden terrace for summer events.
Cabaret · Workshops · Breakouts
Sixty cabaret-style with round tables of ten, ideal for town-hall sessions and product training. Two 75-inch screens, lapel and lectern mics, and a writable wall surface on request.
Drinks receptions · Networking
A glass-roofed atrium seating eighty for a seated lunch or one hundred and ten for a standing reception. Used most often for wine tastings, embassy receptions, and post-conference drinks.
Civil ceremonies · Vow renewals
A licensed ceremony room for up to forty guests, with original stained glass and a register table. One of fewer than thirty Westminster-licensed townhouse rooms for civil ceremonies.

Hybrid layouts and standing dinners are quoted on request. All eight rooms are on a single private floor and can be combined for larger events of up to six hundred guests.
Before a Tour
Quiet, prose answers to the practical questions our event directors hear most often — daylight, acoustics, production, late licences, and the standards behind our catering.
I.
Every room has its own orientation. North-facing rooms hold their light through the afternoon — ideal for board meetings and video calls. South-facing rooms warm by midday and are reserved for lunches and evening events. Blackout drapes, motorised and tested for broadcast colour temperature, are fitted to the Lancaster Suite, Pembridge Room and Whitelands Ballroom.

The Whitelands Ballroom carries a 1.2-second reverb and ships with a Dante-networked system, six wireless mics, and a discreet FOH position. Late licences run until 1:00am on weekdays and 2:00am on Friday and Saturday. Our team handles the Westminster application as part of every booking — no additional paperwork for you.

All catering is prepared in-house by our six executive chefs. Menus are built around produce sourced within sixty miles of London, and our private dining menu holds two Michelin Bib Gourmand awards (2022, 2024). Allergen, kosher, halal and plant-forward menus are written to your brief, with tasting sessions held in the Bayswater Library.
IV.
In-house production includes 4K projection, LED walls, lighting trusses and rigging points engineered to the venue's listed-building tolerances. The Whitelands Ballroom has its own green-room anteroom, and the Lancaster Suite connects to a production gallery for camera, broadcast and streaming work.
V.
A step-free route runs from the Bayswater Road entrance to the Kensington Salon, Notting Atrium, Lancaster Suite and a dedicated accessible WC. A quiet room is held adjacent to every event. Service animals are welcome throughout. Induction loops and live captioning can be added on request.
VI.
Hyde Park Rooms has been certified carbon-neutral by the Carbon Trust since 2021. Every event carries a written footprint statement on departure, and our kitchens divert more than 92% of event waste from landfill through our partner in Park Royal.
