The Programme

A restaurant with rooms. A townhouse with a kitchen.

Private dining at Hyde Park Rooms is not a back room off a restaurant. It is the inverse: a Grade II-listed townhouse — eight rooms on a single private floor — with a kitchen of its own. The kitchen holds two Michelin Bib Gourmand awards for the private dining menu (2022, 2024), and is led by six executive chefs whose produce is sourced within sixty miles of London.

We were founded in 2009 by hospitality veterans from The Ritz and Claridge's. In the sixteen years since, our team of thirty-eight — including the six chefs and fourteen event directors — has staged more than 4,200 confirmed events for FTSE boardrooms, sovereign embassies, and the families who mark the milestones of a London life. Every booking is overseen by a dedicated event director. There are no call centres and no hand-offs.

What follows is the dining programme in its own words: the rooms most often set for the table, the seasonal menus the kitchen sends through, and the chefs and sommelier who plan each one.

The Rooms Most Often Set For The Table

Two rooms. Two tables. Two kinds of evening.

Of our eight heritage rooms, two are the rooms our hosts book most often for private dining — one for the working dinner that must feel like a celebration, the other for the celebration that should still feel composed.

The Cromwell Boardroom, a twelve-seat mahogany boardroom set for a working dinner

Ground Floor  ·  12 Seated

The Cromwell Boardroom

For the executive dinner that still has an agenda.

A wood-panelled twelve-seater set around a single rectangular mahogany table, the Cromwell is the room our hosts choose when the evening is a working dinner that must feel like a celebration rather than a meeting that ran late. Original portraits, a green-shaded banker's lamp, and sash windows onto Bayswater Road. Most often seated at one table for twelve; can be set for eight at the rectangular and four at the round.

Capacity
12 seated at one table · 18 for a canapé reception

The Hamilton Room set with a long oval table for thirty-six guests

The Hamilton Room

For the milestone that should still feel composed.

The Hamilton is the room our hosts book for the larger milestone — the retirement dinner, the engagement, the family birthday that has gathered three generations under one roof. A long oval table for up to thirty-six, cream silk drapes, a single overmantel mirror, parquet floor. Set for one long table, or for two rounds of twelve at smaller celebrations.

36 seated at one oval · 24 at two rounds · 50 for a canapé reception

The Hands At The Pass

Six chefs. One sommelier. One menu at a time.

The Bib Gourmand recognition belongs to the kitchen, and the kitchen belongs to six executive chefs and a sommelier who plan each private dining menu from the first canapé to the last petit-four. The kitchen has been carbon-neutral certified by Carbon Trust since 2021, and every ingredient on the plate is traceable to a farm, fishery, or grower within sixty miles of London.

— Executive Chef, M. Aubert

We do not cook for a room. We cook for the twelve — or the thirty-six — who have given us their evening. The menu is built around what they want the night to feel like, and what the farms around London are sending us that week.
